Open house for Clicks and Mortar at St David’s

The St David’s Partnership, owners of St David’s in Cardiff, one of the UK’s premier retail and leisure destinations, has announced the launch of Clicks and Mortar, the online to physical retail initiative provided by small business support network Enterprise Nation, in partnership with Amazon.
Located in Cathedral Walk, the new pop-up officially launched on July 22. As part of the six- week initiative, several local Welsh brands will be available instore, including Cardiff-based gift workshop Dust and Things, and specialist sportswear clothing brand Bear Hug Sports from Caerphilly.
Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and intu, Russell Loveland, senior portfolio director for Landsec, said: “Clicks & Mortar is a great concept. We’re pleased to play our part in offering local start-up and smaller online businesses an opportunity to have a physical space alongside an array of national and international brands.”
Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, added: “We feel it’s important to ensure our stores benefit not just the small firms and their customers, but also the wider local economy – that’s why we have partnered with the Welsh Government to promote local producers.”
Doug Gurr, UK country manager for Amazon, commented on the St David’s store: “Small businesses are one of our most important customer groups, and we’re thrilled to work with Enterprise Nation to help Welsh brands grow their businesses, both in-store and online.”
Amazon and Enterprise Nation have selected St David’s for the second ever UK site for the concept, following the successful inaugural store in Manchester.
