What Makes a good agency leader?

Every marketing agency leader with a pulse and an eye on the future is jumping on the integration bandwagon. When I created Agent42, there was a unique opportunity to throw the rulebook out the window and do things differently. This led to a unique business model that challenged the long-held perceptions of what makes a business great and focused on what should be the single most important priority for any marketing agency worth the name – doing brilliant work for exciting clients, by collaborating with talented and creative people. A great agency leader understands that it is the people that make the agency what it is and retain these clients, and it’s rare that one agency could cover the entire range of marketing disciplines and offer the very best people in each.

What makes your job exciting?

Agent42 can take on any marketing brief in the EMEA region thanks to a core team and extended roster of tried, tested and trusted partners. This means we are our only limit when it comes to tackling any job. This model along with out flat pricing structure has allowed us to work with exciting clients regardless of budget from across Europe.

What do you consider to be a personal professional achievement?

Agent42 challenged the business norms and got rid of a traditional office in favour of the virtual office which gives staff facilities and flexibility that surpass even larger agencies. This flexible, office-free working model empowers staff to work in a way that’s best for them, with cloud-based servers, the latest mobile technology and integrated IT to ensure that staff can be their most productive no matter where they are physically. When it comes to meeting together or with clients, memberships at private members’ clubs provide social and meeting spaces, networking opportunities and creative inspiration that inject a unique dimension into Agent42’s work and company culture. However, most importantly, and something which is often overlooked in modern business, Agent42 operates on a completely trust-based model. When it came to hiring, I tapped people in my personal network, people I trusted completely without the need to supervise their working day in an office environment. It’s this trust and empowerment that sets Agent42 apart from many businesses both large and small.

What are your goals for you and Agent42

The joy of Agent42’s business model is that the company can scale globally for any size brief in any marketing discipline. Once the agency network is firmly established in EMEA and as the reputation of the agency grows within its global clients, I fully expect the next step to be a global expansion into Asia and North America. However, no matter the reach of agency, the core vision of will remain unchanged: delivering exciting, creative marketing campaigns for clients in a fair and flexible way.
What brand would you most like to work for and why?

Redbull. Big scale exciting experiential’s.

Who do you find inspirational?

Richard Branson.
