What makes you a good business leader?

I am very driven and have a clear focus on what I want myself and my team to achieve. It is key I have a strong alignment with my team and we are all striving for the same goals, this is centred around Commercial and Cultural activity i.e. delivering but with people who love what they do. Leadership is about driving what you believe in; I and my team believe in what we are here to do.

How do you keep at the top of your game in this industry?

To keep at the top of my game I need to be challenged, I often ask for feedback; both positive and negative so I am constantly learning and improving. Alongside this, it is key to have good industry connections.

How do you react to a challenging brief?

When faced with a challenging brief I take the time to firstly understand and map out what is required. It is key to get the right people involved at the right time.

What was a favourite event or campaign to work on (last 12 months)?

We had an internal campaign on greater alignment in the business and driving many people to see one clear vision. This touches all of our clients and really encapsulates all that we do. This started with a company event on our 10 year anniversary where several hundred of our field staff and head office teams were treated to something new and special. Everyone had an overnight stay, entertainment and awards and a free bar! An expensive night but amazing and so engaging for all.

What has been business highlight of the last year or two?

Our business highlight of the year is the opening of our first global office, located in Australia. We have a great team setup over there, because of all of the teams hard work and determination just two months after opening we achieved our first big win with Intel.

What is on the horizon at work in the next 12 months?

We have grown our service in the UK over past years and this will continue – I am excited about how we develop CE FM and take it to the next level as well as opening in other countries as we further our global expansion.

What are the risks of using a bad supplier?

There should be no risk of using a bad supplier, as long as you have a good procurement manager. Bad performance with suppliers can happen, it just needs to be managed and we need to have a balanced expectation and realism to performance and results.

Why is it important for this industry to show off its best practitioners and leading suppliers? Why?

It is important to show its best practitioners and leading suppliers to allow for good benchmarking and to ensure we constantly push our industry standards.

How has being an award winner benefitted you/ Revium Group?

Being an award winner has helped with our teams motivation internally and gives us a metric to help drive internal performance.
