British Gas completes Working Together tour

British Gas has completed an Autumn roadshow in partnership with regional water companies as part of the brand’s on-going mission to promote energy-saving products and techniques for the home.

Designed by brand experience agency BEcause, the “Working Together to Save Money” repurposed shipping container visited town centres, retail parks and garden centres in Bristol, Enfield, Bicester and Kingston throughout October.

At each location, British Gas teamed up with Thames Water and Bristol Water to provide relevant regional support and advice. The roadshow acted as a welcoming platform for consumers to discuss their needs with experts and find out about new products. Brand ambassadors were on hand to promote British Gas’ “Free insulation for all” initiative, where new and existing customers can have loft insulation fitted free of charge until the end of this year. Visitors were able to enjoy free teas and coffees in a friendly café environment, whilst comparing products and learning more about British Gas’ energy saving initiatives. There was also a levitating “magic tap” water-feature and costume characters on site.

Sharon Richey, CEO BEcause comments: “British Gas understands the value of having face-to-face conversations with consumers in order to inspire changes that can make a real difference. By partnering with regional water companies in a comfortable and welcoming setting, British Gas wanted to make this campaign highly relevant to local people in targeted areas around the country.”
