Craig Charles set to headline a sci-fi FMBE Awards

The multitalented actor famous for his lead role as Dave Lister in Red Dwarf, Robot Wars presenter, Coronation Street and popular Funk and Soul DJ, Craig Charles is booked in as headline presenter at FMBE 2017.
The Awards night, held at Troxy on 19th October will be retro sci-fi themed, so expect a galactic welcome from costumed hosts, and a wealth of talented performers evoking Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who, Flash Gordon, Barbarella, Blake’s 7, the Matrix and more – and, of course Red Dwarf!
Craig Charles has been booked for FMBE with assistance from agency Kru Talent International.
Dress Code
The guest dress code for FMBE 2017 is therefore announced as your choice from:
- Any sci-fi character in the known or unknown universe
- Smart evening attire with just a bit of sci-fi sparkle
- Play it straight – smart evening attire/ cocktail dress (note FMBE is not a black tie dress code event)
The Awards Director, Sam Tasker Robbins comments: “The theme has had real appeal this year. It is playful and shiny. The dress code offers a range of opportunities for those who want to play along with the theme. We’re expecting a cool mix of sci-fi glamour amongst those who prefer to play it straight. Our guests always look dazzling at FMBE and we are looking forward to a full house once again.”
