Getthelabel.com gets ready for Rugby League World Cup brand activation

Rugby League World Cup 2013 has announced a major sponsorship deal today, after tying up with online fashion retailer, GetTheLabel.com.

The Warrington-based fashion retailer, which is part of the J.D Sports Group, offers customers significant savings on branded fashion and footwear for all the family and will have the key status of ‘official tournament partner’ with full associated branding rights.

GetTheLabel.com managing director, Paul Simpson said “GetTheLabel.com is thrilled to be an official tournament partner of RLWC2013, the global sporting event of 2013.

“We are proud to be associated with such a great sport, and it is an amazing opportunity for us to raise awareness of our brand, of who we are and what we do.

“We believe there are great synergies between the consumer who shops at GetTheLabel.com and the audience that follows Rugby League. We can’t wait for RLWC2013 to begin.”

RLWC2013 tournament director, Nigel Wood said: “We are delighted to welcome GetTheLabel.com as a key sponsor of RLWC2013 and a significant member of our growing family of partners.

“We are excited about the potential for this partnership, and have already held discussions with the GetTheLabel.com team regarding innovative ways to activate the sponsorship before and during the tournament.

“It’s another great piece of news for RLWC2013 as we pass the 50 days to go milestone.”

Rugby League World Cup 2013 kicks off on October 26 with the Opening Ceremony at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

The ceremony, which will precede a mouth-watering double header of matches featuring England against Australia and Wales against Italy, part of “the greatest show Rugby League has ever seen”.
