Ignite team set to help run Starfish Greathearts’ event

Starfish Greathearts Foundation is holding its annual 10k and 5k run at Brockwell Park on Sunday 23 September.

Each runner will receive a picnic bag part sponsored by Nando’s and Lucozade to enjoy following the run plus family and friends are also welcome to bring or buy a picnic and join runners for the celebrations after the run. There will be fun for all the family with a 100 metre dash for the kids, bouncy castle, ice cream van, face painter and sports massage available.

This year the event is again being supported by Ignite, a global brand experience agency. Employees have donated their time and expertise to make this run the most successful 10k event of the year whilst the event aims to raise £6,000 for children orphaned by AIDS.

Elinor Middleton, global CEO, Starfish Greathearts Foundation commented, “Last year’s run was a huge success and we are aiming for an even bigger turn out this year to raise money for children orphaned by AIDS in southern Africa. We look forward to welcoming a big crowd on Sunday morning to run, cheer on their friends, or just enjoy the picnic”.

Support from UK based organisations giving back to the community has really made a difference to this event, as Paul Saville, client services director from Ignite points out it is this type of fun and meaningful event that helps organisations like his to give back. “Not only is the Starfish Breakfast Run a great team building day out for Ignite staff but it is also an opportunity to contribute our expertise in event production for such a fantastic cause and one we feel very passionately about.”
