Pukka appoints Richmond & Towers, Walker and Haygarth for next phase of growth

Pukka has appointed Haygarth, Walker and Richmond & Towers to support the family-owned business’ ambitious growth strategy to sell more pies to more people, more often.

The announcement follows the recent appointment of Rachel Cranston as head of marketing and will accompany a “shift in strategy” for the brand, as it gets ready to embark on the next exciting chapter of the Pukka story.

The agencies will work together to deliver an impactful integrated campaign to engage a new generation of shoppers across retail and foodservice channels, with the specific goals of building on the brand’s strong family heritage and cementing Pukka’s position as the nation’s favourite hot pie brand.

Starting with immediate effect:

  • Walker will spearhead the communications strategy and creative development
  • Richmond & Towers will become Pukka’s fully integrated trade and consumer PR and social media agency
  • Haygarth will lead all shopper marketing activities across retail and foodservice channels

“We are delighted to appoint three talented and award-winning agencies. It’s a hugely exciting time for Pukka and therefore essential we have trusted partners working closely with us to develop innovative and standout ideas,” explains Cranston. “Each of the agencies we have chosen demonstrated passion, expertise and enthusiasm for the brand and I am excited to welcome them into our team.”

The appointments come after Pukka’s value grew +10.9% to £34m in grocery.

Creative brief led the hotly contested pitch process across each discipline. Pukka will work closely with the newly-appointed agencies with immediate effect to develop a campaign that firmly establishes Pukka as the nation’s favourite hot pie brand.
