Ellesse has unveiled its new OOH (out of home) campaign: On Point, created by RPM. The campaign is designed to showcase tennis in a more disruptive, modern style, to put Ellesse on the radar of a more urban lifestyle audience alongside its Wimbledon fan-base.
The creative, which will run across a number of digital and static locations in London, Birmingham and Manchester, features Ellesse brand ambassadors Johanna Konta and Alfie Hewett in a series of urban environments that dial up the duality of the brand.
Within the campaign, Konta and Hewett wear a number of outfits from the Italian apparel brand that will be worn at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, as well as a number of items from the iconic brand’s new Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer casualwear ranges.
Simon Breckon, brand director at Ellesse comments:“We really wanted to use this campaign to reinforce the connection of Ellesse and tennis whilst serving our streetwear roots. RPM got this ambition from the start and we’re confident that this new campaign will help us inspire Ellesse fans old and new.”
RPM’s managing director, Dom Robertson comments:“We are thrilled to have been involved in bringing Ellesse’s new tournament-wear and casual ranges to life with this urban, contemporary shoot. Having their two remarkable brand ambassadors Konta and Hewett has really made a difference and ignited the campaign in time for Wimbledon.”
The campaign will run between 1-14 July 2019 across numerous key urban locations including Camden, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Birmingham Bull Ring and Grand Central, and Manchester Arndale. The OOH elements support a series of social ads that launched on Ellesse’s Instagram earlier this month.
