RPM wins Marks and Spencer’s Agricultural Show brief

RPM has been appointed by major retailer M&S to help deliver their ‘Farming for the Future’ sustainability initiative through activity at major Agricultural Shows this summer. The campaign aims to help educate, engage and inspire show going families and supply partners on M&S’ sustainable farming initiatives, encouraging brand loyalty and driving footfall into stores. The retailer also wants to recognise, reward and inspire existing supply chain farmers and suppliers.

Farming for the Future has been developed by M&S in partnership with M&S producers and processors to help tackle the future challenges of reduced energy availability, rising costs and a growing population through a programme of innovative activity. It is about making real changes today to create a sustainable farming future for tomorrow.

The activity will run across four major Agricultural Shows in 2012, including:

  • · Balmoral Show – 16-18th May
  • · Royal Highland Show: 21-24th June
  • · Great Yorkshire Show: 10-12th July
  • · Royal Welsh Show: 23-26th July

Hugh Robertson, founding partner of RPM said of the win: “We are thrilled to have won back the M&S Agricultural Shows after a 7 year hiatus, and will be looking to build brand affinity through an engaging presence, that educates and inspires. We truly believe in sustainable practise, and would like to help the public to make real changes in the way they view food production, leading to the right purchasing decisions.”

Adele Woods, regional marketing & brand events manager at M&S said: “We want to educate consumers on the lengths we go to create special food products in a sustainable and responsible way, and are looking forward to working with RPM on a creative and engaging experience that brings ‘Farming to the Future’ to life.”
