Sedley Place brings Lejay-Lagoute heritage to Imbibe Live

Premium liqueur brand Lejay-Lagoute is bringing some French flair to this year’s Imbibe Live event with a creative concept through Sedley Place that features one of the brand’s original Peugeot vans.

Sedley Place has created a display area to communicate the rich history and provenance of the French Crème de cassis and Kir liqueur producer with an concept that features clipped hedges, outdoor lights, rustic tables and branded crates, as well as the Lejay-Lagoute classic Peugeot van, which used to hand out free drinks to the children of Dijon.

The brand’s original advertising posters, in the 1930s-1950s French style, sit alongside a screen showing an immersive brand video that tells the story of the company from its 1841 inception through to the present day. The film was created by Sedley Place’s Motion Graphics team.

The show activity is the latest work in an on-going relationship between Lejay-Lagoute and Sedley Place. The London-based creative agency started working with Lejay-Lagoute in 2013, helping to create its then-new experience centre at the liqueur producer’s Dijon headquarters.

Jeremy Roots, head of graphics, Sedley Place, said: “Lejay-Lagoute has a fantastic heritage and we’ve been helping to leverage that through the experience centre at its home in Dijon. It made sense to build on that at Imbibe, combining the old with the new – the Peugeot van with the immersive video – to bring Lejay-Lagoute’s quintessential history to life on stand. For Sedley Place, the project involved three of our teams working together to create and deliver a truly captivating multi-dimensional brand experience.”

Imbibe Live is the annual exhibition for the anyone who sources, buys or serves drinks in the licensed on-trade, with over 1,000 drinks brands in attendance and nearly 50 tasting, demonstration and seminar events taking place at the Olympia Grand from 1 to 2 July.
