Trade hot for Optyma plus summer promotion from Purple

The Purple Agency’s “Quietly Efficient” summer promotion for Danfoss’ Optyma Plus New Generation condensing units coincided with a 15 per cent rise in sales according to figures announced today. The campaign involved a range of on and off line marketing measures, including support for in-branch staff, as well as targeting engineers and end users. It has also been highly praised at Climate Center, the UK’s leading supplier of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, components and ancillaries, as setting a new benchmark for marketing campaigns in the sector.

Says Emma Woodford, group account director, The Purple Agency (part of Adare), “It may well have been billed as “Quietly Efficient”, but the campaign caused plenty of noise during the summer and succeeded in not only getting across the key benefits of the Optyma Plus™ range, but by combining on and off line channels and end user promotional activities – including in-branch, point of sale and promotional merchandise – it also raised awareness and contributed to a significant lift in sales. That, let’s face it, is what this is all about, so we’re delighted that it succeeded so well in promoting the Optyma Plus™ range.”

For Danfoss, Paul Szyszczak, business area director, adds, “The 15 per cent lift we got off the back of our “Quietly Efficient” promotion was down to a well planned and well executed campaign, and the support of our channel partners, reaffirming our market leadership in the condensing unit sector. It was powerful, well integrated and ultimately compelling, as the results make clear. Further, to have it singled out by many at Climate Center as having set a new benchmark for campaigns is both rewarding and challenging – as it means we’ll have to do even better next time. But that’s a challenge we’ll be more than happy to accept.”
