Marketing agency GottaBe! has recruited seven university students to complete a summer placement programme with the company. The students were shortlisted from a list of 90 applicants, by the company’s Booking and Talent Team. The chosen interns are:
Alex Glyde (Southampton Solent University)
Scott Gladwish (Southampton Solent University)
Jakub Frebel (University of Winchester)
Harry Henley (Southampton Solent University)
Callum Stanley (Southampton Solent University)
Jasmine Stirling (Bournemouth University)
The key aim of the placements is to supply the students with the experience they need when working in the industry.
Tomasz Dyl, Managing Director of GottaBe! comments: “The core aim of the placement is to provide the students with experience, these days its crucial for students to get as much experience under their belts as possible before they enter the industry. The market is currently tough and being able to offer the interns this opportunity is priceless.”
Throughout the programme, the interns will be involved in the company’s various day-to-day tasks, including campaigns planning and execution on behalf of global brands that include Randstad and MyFerryLink as well as local brands such as Southampton City Council and Greenty Nappies.
The placement will additionally supply the students with a hands on experience within the industry; helping them learn and build on their knowledge learnt at university. In the past, the company have been heavily involved in providing students with work experience and getting them involved in what GottaBe! offers. This summer will be the first year that the team has offered a full 6-week placement to a number of students.
Dyl adds: “Students are full of new ideas and I am hoping that by having these 7 individuals, they will add creativity and energy to the office. I also hope the team can learn from the interns as well as teach them a few industry tricks.”
Student intern Jasmine Stirling comments “I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with such a successful company. I’m also looking forward to taking on challenging tasks and to build my experience of the industry, which I can then apply to future work and my studies”
