DecemBeard and bathstore embark on Bubblebeard campaign

Bathstore is challenging the nation to make a bubble beard in partnership with DecemBeard, to help people affected by bowel cancer from the comfort of their own home. The bathroom retailer is encouraging the public to get their best soap sculpting skills together and make works of art on their face using just bubbles. Bubble beard makers are encouraged to get creative with their beards and share on social media using #bubblebeard and crucially make a £2 donation.

Famous faces involved with the campaign include presenter, Kate Garraway, BBC Radio 1’s Chris Stark, and the Saracens who have all shared their own #bubblebeard selfies. Kate Garraway commented on her involvement in the campaign, “Bubble beards is a great way for the whole family to get involved in Decembeard and do something fun for a serious cause even if they can’t grow a beard. Make sure you share your selfies on social media and most importantly text to donate.”

The money raised through the DecemBeard campaign will help fund Beating Bowel Cancer’s vital services, supporting patients and families of those affected by the condition.

Claire Bayliss, chief marketing Officer at bathstore commented on the campaign, “We’re excited to be working in partnership with DecemBeard and officially launch #bubblebeard. We wanted to create a fun and simple way for people to take part in the campaign and ultimately help raise funds to support people who are affected by bowel cancer.”

Mark Flannagan, chief executive of the charity Beating Bowel Cancer, said: “Having high-profile supporters like bathstore makes a huge difference to the campaign, as they can help increase the reach that a charity like ours could never achieve alone. We’re incredibly grateful for their backing and delighted to be working with them. It’s a fun campaign, but has a serious message behind it and money raised will help us provide support to those who need us.
