Broadwick and Smart Group have today introduced Salt Hospitality Studio, a dedicated hospitality business built exclusively for Broadwick’s London venue portfolio and confirmed the appointment of Ben Tobin-Paris as Managing Director.
Built into venue operations from the outset, the business will align food, drink, service, staffing and guest experience with the space, audience and rhythm of each event, ensuring hospitality is considered as part of the venue experience, not added on afterwards.
Salt will operate across twelve London venues, including Magazine London, Troxy, Exhibition White City, Control Room A, OXO2, Banking Hall, Landing Forty Two, Drumsheds, Landing Canary Wharf, Broadwick Studio, 26 Leake Street and The Pelligon.
The launch marks the next stage in a decade-long relationship between Broadwick Group and Smart Group and establishes Salt, which will operate as an independent hospitality business with its own leadership team, identity and operating model.
Ben Tobin-Paris brings ten years spent working alongside Broadwick, delivering hospitality across its venues. As Managing Director, he will oversee the strategic development of the business, food and drink direction, venue integration and growth across Broadwick’s London estate.
Brad Thompson, Managing Director of Broadwick, said:
“How a space looks, feels and performs matters to us. Hospitality is often the last thing considered rather than the first. Salt will change that.
“By bringing venue expertise, operational delivery and hospitality design together from the start, we create experiences that feel more cohesive for clients and more intuitive for guests. Food, drink and service belong in the fabric of the venue, considered alongside the programming and the production, not added on afterwards.
“Ben has spent a decade delivering hospitality across Broadwick venues and understands both the operational realities of delivering at scale and the importance of creating experiences that genuinely belong within a space. The relationships, standards and results he has helped build across our venues speak for themselves.”
Ben Tobin-Paris, Managing Director of Salt Hospitality Studio, said:
“This is a genuine opportunity to build a hospitality brand that stands apart, while being properly embedded in venues that I know well. Salt has been built around a simple idea: food, drink, service and setting should never operate independently of one another. The best hospitality feels effortless because every element has been considered together. We are designing hospitality around the audience, the event and the environment from the very beginning, not delivering it into a space once everything else has been decided, but designing it in from day one.”
The launch follows the formal joint venture between Broadwick and Smart Group announced in April 2026. Together, the two businesses deliver more than 3,500 events annually across venue operations, hospitality and live experiences.
