Global experiential agency GMR Marketing promoted Ania Sponaski to vice president of partnerships. With 15+ years of experience in sponsorship marketing, Sponaski has traveled the world helping brands connect with consumers through global sports and entertainment properties, notably across Olympic programming and activations.
Sponaski began her career at GMR in London where she executed sponsorship activations for the London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, the 2014 FIFA World Cup and other global events. Now located in North America, Sponaski leads the development of integrated marketing programs for key clients and enhances GMR’s sponsorship and experiential consulting practice. In her new role, she will support the agency’s global business development initiatives.
Prior to joining GMR, Sponaski spent five years with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Organizing Committee, where she helped secure more than $750 million in sponsorship revenue by developing bespoke brand activation platforms using the unique Olympic and Paralympic association.
