Immersive Everywhere delivers a season of entertainment for Hasbro with Peppa Pig: Surprise Party at Metrocentre

Peppa Pig: Surprise Party, the immersive experience for children aged 1-6, officially opened its doors at Metrocentre Gateshead, bringing the beloved world of the animated TV series to life for little ones and their families. The experience, which started in the last week of March and continues to mid-July has been created by the agency team behind The Traitors: Live Experience, Peaky Blinders: The Rise and The Choir of Man.

Blending live puppetry and theatrical performance with digital storytelling and sensory play, Peppa Pig: Surprise Party invites families to embark on an oink-tastic adventure where they can explore Peppatown and meet Peppa’s friends and family as they help prepare for her biggest celebration yet – her not so secret Surprise Party.

From the moment families hop aboard The Big Train to enter the experience, they are free to explore the 19,000 sq. ft space at their own pace, discovering recognisable locations such as Peppa’s House and The Aquarium, meeting familiar favourite characters and getting involved with hands-on activities inspired by the series.

Along the way, little ones are tasked with taking part in party preparations such as finding the perfect gift with Miss Rabbit, practising the Happy Birthday Song with Madame Gazelle and, of course, making sure the Birthday cake is ready with Granny Pig!

The experience lasts approximately 1 hour 45 minutes building towards a showstopping celebration at Peppa’s House complete with party hats, giggles, bubbles and maybe even a few muddy puddles.

The in-world Café serves Instagram-ready treats in partnership with The Knot Churros, offering a selection of indulgent sweet delights including freshly made churros, sundaes and family-friendly refreshments, alongside a range of teas and coffees for grown-ups to enjoy.

After the experience, visitors can visit Peppa Pig Market – an interactive gift shop inspired by Peppa and her family’s trips to the Supermarket – where children can grab a trolley, explore the aisles and head to the checkout with a souvenir of their day.

Thoughtfully crafted to cater to everyone’s needs, the experience includes baby changing facilities, onsite buggy parking, complimentary entry for children under 12 months and dedicated relaxed performances running weekly where lighting will be softer and noise reduced for a calmer experience.

The experience was developed in collaboration with Hasbro. Metrocentre welcomes nearly 16m visitors a year, drawn to its 270 retail brands. Metrocentre’s full day-out experience is made possible by its five distinct malls, catering to every visitor purpose.
