Woolwich Works announces its new versatile catering partners

Woolwich Works, London’s riverside arts, culture and entertainment venue, has unveiled its brand-new roster of catering partners – a handpicked selection of suppliers chosen for their creativity, social impact, and sustainability.

Over the summer months, the team sampled a diverse range of menus, from build-your-own tartare stations to a culinary tour of the best of the Basque Country, before finalising a tantalising new supplier list. The result? A collection of bespoke caterers who combine exceptional food and impeccable attention-to-details with memorable experiences, and who reflect Woolwich Works’ ethos of supporting local businesses, women-led enterprises, and sustainable practice.

Among the returning favourites are Kerb — with their ever-evolving street food line-up — and award-winning social enterprise The Clink Events, whose catering arm continues to expand its pioneering social impact programmes through working with prison leavers and young people from challenging backgrounds.

Joining Woolwich Works’ incumbent caterers will be:

  • First Choice Caribbean Hut – a much-loved local business, who wowed guests at the Works’ courtyard over the summer with flavour-packed Caribbean menus and trademark hospitality.

  • Dinner Ladies and London Basque Kitchen – both female-led innovative catering businesses offering inventive, authentic menus inspired by their founders’ cultural heritage (Dinner Ladies’ co-founders Lily Cai and Emily Plunket forged their friendship in Asia and London Basque Kitchen’s Monica Gil Ruiz was born and raised in Bilbao, the largest city in the province of Biscay).

  • Boulevard Events – specialists in bespoke large-scale catering since 1988, known for creating sustainable and ambitious themed menus for up to 2,000 guests.

Between them, these suppliers offer everything from fresh paella in the sunny courtyard to fully vegan multi-course awards dinners, street food stations with creative cocktails, or winter wonderland feasts.

Nikki Smith, Head of Events and Commercial Development at Woolwich Works, commented: “What impressed us about all of these innovative, forward-thinking caterers was their passion for food and for creating memorable experiences. They share our commitment to sustainability and to making a meaningful impact in their communities. We’re proud to introduce them to our clients at Woolwich Works, whether that’s for an intimate celebration or a large-scale corporate event. There’s still time to lock in a Christmas feast — so it’s the perfect opportunity to sample some of these exciting new menus.”

Woolwich Works is one of London’s most flexible venues for hire, offering a unique mix of heritage-listed spaces from the spectacular Fireworks Factory to smaller studios and courtyards such as Beanfeast, The Knight Gallery, Ropekeepers Studio and the Visitors’ Book Cafe. The new caterers will be available to clients hiring spaces for weddings, corporate events, parties, and festivals throughout 2025 and beyond.
