IE delivers five year consultation through experiential marketing

Independent Events (IE) has been chosen as the experiential marketing company of choice by United Utilities, for a consultation that only takes place once every five years.

The roadshow, which is now out in the public arena, is working its way across nine locations in the North West.

Appointed by Delineo to deliver the campaign, IE have a team of consultants manning the innovative stand in shopping centres and high streets.

Reaching out to over 1500 United Utility water customers, the consultation will serve to fit with regulations placed on the company, ensuring they are gaining vital feedback on quality, services and price.

Playing on the theme of water, the public gets to pour water into relevant funnels to bid on what is important to them between good service, helping the vulnerable or the environment. There is also a bespoke graffiti wall for people to leave personal comments on what they would like to see improved or what they currently like.

Natalie Kavanagh of United Utilities said:”It is essential we know what our customers care about most. Many people do not think about it but water helps the North West function every day. It is highly vital that we get the balance right, whether it’s water quality at the tap, reducing the number of pollution incidents, help customers struggling to pay their bills, or reducing flooding from sewers to plugging more leaks.

“We are developing our priorities for the period 2020-2025 based on conversations with our customers at these roadshows, it is a plan for the north-west, because of the North West Matters.”

IE is approaching its 10th birthday. The company works with retail names such as BooHoo, Famous Grouse, Kerry Foods, DFDS and Nissan. Other clients include shopping centres across the UK, Road Respect and many councils across the UK.

Managing partner of IE Danae Abadom said: “It is so refreshing to work with agencies and organisations that realise there is more to surveys than just digital contact via email or social media. The best results come from a marketing mix and from people interacting. It is a delight to be working with United Utilities, helping them achieve the results they can present to decision makers to make sure the direction they go in is one they can be confident in.”
