RT Marketing celebrates an MBO

Brand experience agency RT Marketing, today announces that it has completed a Management Buyout from majority shareholders Premier Team Holdings. The business has been acquired by the directors of RT Marketing who are committed to developing and expanding the company in the events, sponsorship and hospitality sectors. The MBO was achieved without external financial support, leaving the company debt free and with a strong balance sheet.

RT Marketing managing director, David Spicer said: “We are delighted to have completed the MBO which is another positive step for the business as we focus on consolidating our position as a leading agency, creating compelling guest experiences and delivering maximum brand impact for our clients. We look forward to building on the success of 2012, which was a great year for RT Marketing, with high profile projects – including the hospitality delivery for Coca-Cola during the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

The first initiative under the company’s new ownership has been the hire of Business Development Director Jack Few, who joins RT Marketing from Rush Sports Marketing & Investment.

Added David Spicer: “We’re ramping up our new business drive, targeting national and international sports events. We already have projects in the pipeline for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. The year has started on a high for us and our goal is to increase 2012’s £3m turnover by 14% in 2013. Jack is eminently qualified to help us reach that goal.”

Established in 1996 and based in Richmond, Surrey, RT Marketing’s expertise is built on a heritage of sports hospitality management, which has progressively extended to embrace sponsorship and events. RT Marketing’s client portfolio includes The Coca-Cola Company, Garmin, Investec, Oracle, The Rugby Football Union, Genworth Financial, The International Paralympic Committee, Saracens and Knight Frank.
