Field Marketing and Brand Experience Agency of the Year contenders announced

This year’s Agency of the Year (AoY) contenders have been announced by the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards
Both lists see a mix of previous winners and new challengers, and reflect a vibrant industry that is full of versatility and invention.
Brand Experience
Announcing the Brand Experience shortlist, awards director Frank Wainwright comments: “Five of the seven shortlisted agencies have been on the AoY shortlist before, including Wasserman, who won as Ignite last year when the agency was independent. Only SMP and Synergy have not been shorlisted for AoY before. This year was the first year that our judges have seen a selection of work from these two agencies. Synergy’s inclusion on the shortlist would be surprising to some, but this leading light in sports sponsorship has developed a significant brand experience expertise in recent years, with interactive face to face coming further to the fore in sponsorship activation during last year’s Olympics. “
SMP, a highly successful provider of experiences focussed led by the FMCG sector, and Synergy’s inclusion have added significant muscle to a very powerful shortlist.

In Field Marketing AoY the surprise inclusion is young agency Twenty5Eight, an agency that has only been operating for 2-3 years and lines up against some of the powerhouses of field sales and marketing including previous winners of the title, CPM, Cosine and 2012 winner REL Field Marketing.
In addition to Twenty5Eight, there are 4 other agencies shortlisted, Cosine, Orchid, Powerforce and RMG that have all been operating for less years than the 9 that the awards have been running – and have grown into established forces in FM in that time with dynamic leadership and innovation.
Frank Wainwright comments: “Our AoY award isn’t an award for turnover or scale but commends endeavour, energy, versatility, flexibility and above all magnificent results for the brands, and our shortlisted agencies have all proven themselves as front ranking in those areas. Our judges have been privileged to witness some inventive brand solutions braking new ground in FM, both from established industry leaders and new entrepreneurs.”
