Monkey Shoulder presents the UK’s first Pop-Down bar

Free from tedious queues, strict dress codes and bouncers that resemble Bond villains. Neave’s Pop Down Bar is the antidote to pop-up bars everywhere.
Grant Neave, UK brand ambassador for Monkey Shoulder, will open his unique Pop Down Bar for three weeks only from 3-26th July.
Neave’s pop-down aims to be treat guests to a bar experience that totally reinvents the conventional.
Guests will notice a difference before they even enter. Leaving typical surly bouncer behaviour to one side, Neave’s Pop Down Bar doormen have been professionally trained in ‘public manner’ etiquette so customers can expect flowers and smiles and even the odd joke to make entry even more enjoyable.
As well as cocktail tasters whilst-you-wait, Neave’s will give its customers a ‘name’ to drop in at the bar to get ‘mates rates’ tokens,to get the night off to a good start.
An onsite hashtag printer will be on hand to capture the action and provide a memento of the night. Any consumers who upload apicture to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #NeavesBar will get a free print and the chance to win prizes.
Neave’s Pop Down Bar aims to eliminate the embarrassing ‘ over dressed’ faux pas by having emergency casual props on hand from comedy trainer-style over shoes to a selection of trucker caps available at the door to make guests feel right at home.
Monkey Shoulder’s bar will be serving unique cocktails including the long and refreshing Apple Mac served on draught and twists on classics such as the Gorilla Old Fashioned—pre-batched and served from a 4.5 litre Monkey Shoulder bottle, plus some equally innovative treats.
Scottish foodie mavericks, Dram & Smoke are set to provide specially crafted ‘Manapés’, from duck donuts to deep fried Mars Bars in tempura batter with Monkey Shoulder jellies. All specifically designed as one handed affairs.
