Allez! Studio partners with the BBC to launch Luther

To celebrate the return of the BBC’s British crime drama, Luther, an innovative mural was revealed at Shoreditch High Street in East London on  December 15th.

To coincide with the return of everyone’s favourite detective, the producers of the BBC hit show teamed up with Allez! Studio, an immersive content studio (part of Output Group) specialising in producing experiential installation and digital theatre for events, to create a large mural depicting an iconic skyline from the Luther credits.

Allez! Studio enlisted the help of Diabolical and Graffitilife to creatively capture the heart of Luther in the 12 metre mural. The teams of artists started work on Saturday and the big reveal took place last night, just as Luther took to our screens.

Graffitilife employ multi disciplined graffiti artists, the finest mural wall painters in the UK who can recreate any image onto any surface, whilst Diabolical specialise in masterminding outdoor and experimental advertising campaigns.

The installation will remain at Shoreditch High Street for one week.

Laura Newman-Cardwell from Allez! Studio commented:

”We were honoured to work with the BBC on bringing to life one of their most iconic programmes of recent years. We wanted to introduce the grittiness of the Luther storylines into a piece of art, so we worked with some of the country’s best graffiti artists and utilised tools such as spray paint and marker pen art to depict the show in a different way.

“Our aim was to create a mural which sparks creativity and innovation and gets people as excited about the Luther 2 part special as we are.”
