Insight: MCI releases 2017 sustainability report – MCI

MCI has announced the launch of its 2017 Sustainability Report titled “Fostering Care & Generating Value.”

By building a vibrant and authentic culture of care and responsibility that generates value for our people, our business and society are at the center of our strategy and keep us committed to our sustainability goals.

Highlights of 2017 include:

Community: Our teams around the world did an amazing job in volunteering a total number of 6,317 hours, raising over €1.4 million through pro bono charity event consulting and supporting 50 community projects.

Knowledge Sharing: 3,920 suppliers, clients and talents received training from MCI in Sustainable Event Practices.

Clients: We organised 26 events around sustainability and won 2 awards for our commitment to sustainability.

Office Operations: We proudly achieved our target to reduce carbon emissions, with 33% of our offices running on sustainable energy.

MCI is taking its commitment one step further by compensating unavoidable emissions and will support Cool Earth, a non-profit organisation that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and its impact on climate change.

Cool Earth has been selected due to our core values being closely aligned, enabling us to support a project that has a key measurable and positive impact on the environment.

What’s in store for the future?

  • Continue to integrate sustainability into MCI office operations and ways of working.
  • Build MCI’s sustainability expertise and grow the business in key categories of the sustainability industry.
  • Keep on enabling and inspiring the MCI teams around the world to volunteer time for community action projects.
Celebrating the launch of the report, Sebastien Tondeur, CEO, MCI Group said: “What started as a small CSR programme has blossomed to become a core pillar of the MCI culture and brand. Sustainability is now part of our business strategy, our client value proposition and our daily operations.”
