Sennheiser returns as the headline sponsor of this year’s Westfield Music Cube. Running from 6 – 8 November and headlined by Rebecca Ferguson, Music Cube comes following a series of popular performances over the summer bank holiday weekend at Westfield Stratford City. Sennheiser, Westfield’s Preferred Audio Partner, will be supplying pro-audio equipment for the free concerts, allowing music fans to immerse themselves in the music.
Artists will perform live in a custom-built soundproof glass cube to music fans tuned in through Momentum Sennheiser headphones. Along with the air-blast vibrating floor system audiences will be treated to an exclusive and fully immersive experience. The August Bank Holiday weekend saw Jess Glynne join Wretch 32, Luke Friend, Only The Young and a whole host of artists signed to major and independent labels perform at Westfield Stratford City. Music fans not able to make it down to the event were able to stream the gigs online at www.westfieldmusiccube.com. Free tickets will be released on 28th September for the second round of live performances due to take place at Westfield London in November.
Fiona Kyle, General Manager of Events & Entertainment for Westfield UK & US comments: “We are delighted to be working with Sennheiser as the primary partner for MUSIC CUBE, bringing live music to fans for a second year. Our collaboration with Sennheiser is an example of how we can create an effective marketing platform for partners whilst enhancing our customers’ experiences, in this case, bringing the best sound experience to lucky music fans.”
Last year, Sennheiser signed a three year contract with Westfield, integrating the audio devices into Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City music platforms, including ‘Westfield Presents’, which showcases emerging and local talent across a variety of stages at both centres. As part of this, Westfield also announced the opening of Sennheiser Blue Lounge at selected Westfield stores around the country, which offers shoppers the opportunity to take time-out and discover new music from up and coming artists, supported by Westfield Presents.
Gemma Robinson, strategic collaborations manager – EMEA at Sennheiser said: “Music Cube was a real success last year, so we are very excited to be headline sponsors this year. At Sennheiser, we believe in giving consumers an authentic sound experience, so being part of an event where music and audio equipment is such an integral part makes complete sense.”
Sennheiser is using the tie up to reach out to a highly diverse customer base through a plethora of touch points within Westfield centres, with the intention of building relationships with music aficionados.
