British Red Cross shop pops up at Westfield

In the run up to Christmas celebrations, volunteer-led humanitarian organisation British Red Cross has called on experiential agency Hotcow to create an experiential pop-up shop, to build awareness to the Red Cross online gift shop (giftshop.redcross.org.uk). The activity is part of the campaign ‘Generosity Wrapped Up’, which is aimed at demonstrating to consumers, how any presents bought at British Red Cross shops can help those in crisis.
The experiential pop-up shop will be located at Westfield London, from 13th to 16th December, encouraging visitors to engage with the charity’s campaigning, and help their beneficiaries. As well as being able to buy gifts at the Red Cross pop-up shop, consumers can learn about the charity’s services, and support the cause. Charity fundraisers will also be on site to demonstrate how a minimum spend can make a big difference to someone in need.
Sally Durcan, managing director of Hotcow, says: “The British Red Cross is an amazing charity that we are proud to be working with. We are honoured that they have chosen Hotcow to implement their first ever experiential event that will most definitely raise awareness for such a good cause.”
Diana Goss, new business manager of The British Red Cross, says: “Christmas shopping is at the top of most people’s to do lists this time of year so why not shop with the British Red Cross, at our pop up, high street or online shops? It’s not shopping, it’s charity! You’re generosity will help people in crisis, both at home in the UK and abroad.”
