CPM takes on Association of Professional Sales responsibilities

CPM, the world’s largest outsourced sales business, has consolidated its relationship with the newly-formed Association of Professional Sales (APS) through the direct personal involvement of two of its Board Directors.
Karen Jackson, managing director CPM UK, has accepted the role of Vice Chair of the Association, while the company’s Sales and Marketing Director Andy Buck sits on the APS’ Board of Trustees.
Corporately, CPM is a Founding Fellow of the APS, which was launched at the end of 2014 to champion professional development in sales and establish an authoritative presence on sales standards.
Karen Jackson said: “For almost 80 years, our company’s core business has been sales and our primary focus is to provide high performing, professional sales individuals for our clients. Investment in developing and nurturing our sales talent through our own, highly developed sales educational programmes is a key priority for CPM. We are committed to making sales a destination career for current and future generations. The formation of the APS is a leap forward in professionalising the sales industry, and we’re delighted to be among those who are setting the future course and direction of the new body.”
In addition to participating in high quality meetings and helping drive the APS’ agenda towards the achievement of Chartered status, CPM will share thought leadership and research insight and will hold a leading position in the future APS/EY (formerly Ernst Young) standards project.
Andy Buck said: “CPM and its clients will benefit enormously from our close collaboration with academics, senior practitioners and other thought-leaders in the sales arena. Correspondingly, in bringing our own experience to the APS’ management team we will contribute to the work of clarifying standards, ethical policy and best practice, while helping to encourage fellow practitioners and clients in growing the APS’ membership.”
Andy Hough, chief operating officer at the APS said: “Their early desire to share in the APS’ leadership highlights the ethics and standards that CPM align themselves to, and look to enshrine in their own organization. This should provide their customers and prospects with great comfort on the quality of service and professional nature of CPM teams.”
