Elevate assists with two major brand activations at Eurovision

The arrival of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool was the first time in quarter of a century that the UK events industry has had a chance to showcase its talents to the global Eurovision audience.

The UK has hosted the contest a record nine times, four times in London (1960, 1963, 1968 and 1977) and once each in Edinburgh (1972), Brighton (1974), Harrogate (1982), Birmingham (1998), and Liverpool (2023).

Two of the Eurovision Song Contest’s long-standing brand partners chose to work with Elevate to represent their brands when the event landed in Liverpool. Presenting partner Moroccanoil and travel partner Booking.com both worked with Elevate’s teams of brand ambassadors to activate in the build up to, and during the big event days.

2023 was the third year of headline sponsor status at Eurovision for argan-infused oil-based hair and beauty styling company Moroccanoil, whose unique relationship with Eurovision allows the company to provide access to much of the event build up as well as backstage on the night of the contest itself.

Elevate’s team embarked on a two-week journey of activities as they supported Moroccanoil.

One of the highlights was a three-day sampling campaign that took place at the Eurovision village and M&S Bank Arena. Armed with enthusiasm and professionalism, Elevate’s “Scouse army” distributed an impressive 24,000 samples.

Joe Sheppard, UK Manager Director, Elevate comments: “With meticulous planning and execution, Elevate’s dedicated “Scouse army” left no stone unturned in making the event a resounding success.”

Moroccanoil is clearly celebratory about its connection with Eurovision, signing off this year with ‘See you in Sweden 2024’. (continued)
