Ford and Imagination create family appeal at Goodwood

Global creative business Imagination has created a playful, experiential family friendly stand for Ford of Britain at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed from 26th-29th June.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of Britain’s largest motoring events, attracting over 195,000 visitors in 2013.
This year’s stand is modelled on a multi-storey children’s toy garage, complete with a giant slide for visitors to race down and the opportunity to share pictures of their experiences across social networks.
The exhibition stand is situated on the front row of the motoring village with the open upper deck of the stand providing visitors panoramic views of the festival and track, as well as offering plenty of great photo opportunities. Ford, a founding Goodwood Festival of Speed supporter, will also use the festival to reveal exciting products, including the world premiere of the New Focus ST diesel and the first opportunity for Brits to get up close with the new Mustang and Vignale collection. Visitors can also discover a range of Ford vehicles across the different storeys, including the new Ford Fiesta Red Edition. There will also be an area dedicated to the 1.0l EcoBoost engine, which has won the International Engine of the Year award for the third year running.
The stand will also raise awareness of Ford’s position as Official Automotive Partner at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games with a gymnastic area offering visitors a chance to test their upper body strength on the rings. Ford will transport their exhibition stand to Glasgow from the 23rd July – 3rd August for the Commonwealth Games festival on Glasgow Green.
Howard Kee, manager of advertising and experiential for Ford of Britain said “Goodwood has fast become the motoring event of the year in Britain and is a great opportunity to showcase not only our great product but also what the Ford brand represents. Imagination has helped us bring this to life through the stand offering all visitors a range of great experiences. This is true to our ethos of ‘VIP for all’ and for some visitors who may not consider Ford, hopefully prompting re-evaluation of the brand and its vehicles.”
Michael Flood, account director at Imagination said “Once again Ford has a huge amount to show at Goodwood. We wanted to create a fun, family friendly stand that allows visitors to discover everything from the Mustang and ST to the stunning view from the public gallery on the top deck. And experience the thrill of the giant slide!”
