Pom-Bear, the teddy shaped snack brand, has agreed a year-long partnership with The Scouting Association. The brand will feature on the Beaver Scout Adventure Activity badge, which will be showcased nationally to Beaver Scouts their Scouting Leaders and parents.
In addition to the sponsorship of the badge, Pom-Bear will also support a series of events which will take place throughout the country including the Beaver Cub Scout Camp and Scout Leaders Reunion.
Adventure is at the core of Scouting, and the Association passionately believes in helping their members to fulfil their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves.
Over 200 activities are offered by Scouting around the UK, made possible by the efforts of 90,000 voluntary adult leaders. This has helped to make Scouting the largest co-educational youth movement in the country.
Marketing Manager for Pom-Bear, Steve Harger said: “The partnership with The Scout Association provides us with an ideal platform to talk to our core target audience, while also supporting a good cause that helps children to develop their social skills and have fun. We will be rolling out a full communications strategy to support the partnership, as well as taking the opportunity to sample our products and support The Association’s largest events.”
Simon Carter, The Scout Association spokesperson said: “We value the support Pom-Bear offers the Movement. They are a fun brand and there is nothing more fun than being a Beaver Scout.”
As a fun and active brand The Scout Association was an ideal partner for Pom-Bear. With a network of 116,000 young people and more than 100,000 Scout Leaders the partnership will drive brand awareness and reiterate the core values that are associated with the Pom-Bear character; fun, friendly, adventurous and ready to try new things.
Enjoying a record year with 35% growth in 2012 (IRI 52 weeks to 05/01/2013), Pom-Bear continues to go from strength to strength.
