Shaun the Sheep helps K-ewe and Land’s End celebrate Easter

From the 28th of March to the 12th of April,the Royal Botanic Gardens plays host to Shaun the Sheep. The events have coincided with the cinema showings of Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep the Movie and run concurently with Shaun the Sheep Experience at Land’s End.

Agency SGA Productions conceptualised the activity at Kew and Land’s End, also providing performers for Shaun’s meadow at Kew Gardens.

Events taking place at Kew include

  • Wellie Wanging: Throw baby wellies at the scarecrow farmers to knock their melon heads off.
  • Sheep Hopper Maze: Bounce around a simple course made of hay bales. • Vegetable Orchestra: Musicians play their own comic, veggie-made instruments, and bring vegetable-themed equipment for guests to use. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn how some of the sound effects from the Shaun the Sheep Movie were created
  • Shaun the sheep egg hunt: (5th of April.) Once egg hunters find all tokens and the Easter bunny,they can claim their chocolate eggs supplied by Divine chocolate.
  • Live sheep: Kew’s own flock of South Downs sheep arrive from Wakehurst and will be taking up residence at Kew for the Easter festival. with a shepherdess cycling around and rounding up the flock of visitors walking the springtime trail.
  • ‘Bean to Baaa’ Chocolate workshops run by experts who can tell you where it comes from and how it gets made
  • and facepainting

Meanwhile, at Land’s End, tickets have been purchased for the Shaun the Sheep Experience at which participants can be filmed in their own Shaun movie scene and also learn more about Aardman Animations’ creations Wallace and Gromit and Morph.

Shaun the Sheep also put in appearances nationwide across Easter for a series of selfies taken in from of famous VisitEngland landmarks including The Angel of the North and Durdle Door. Shaun’s travels have been documented online includng a popular Facebook page.
