Shopping Angels descend on Dalton Park This Christmas

Independent Events brought an angelic experiential activation to Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Centre, with a team of shopping angels whose job it is to make shopping that little bit easier as we approach the Christmas rush.  The group of Customer Service + Shopping Angels descended on Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Centre this festive season, sharing random acts of kindness and supporting the centre’s shoppers every weekend.

The heavenly angelic brand ambassadors were introduced to help shoppers carry bags as well as hand out random treats to the public including mince pies, candy canes, reusable shopping bags and even cover during storm Desmond with umbrellas helping to shield shoppers from the wind and rain. This was all part of the outlet centres new strategy to reward and thank their shoppers during the construction of their highly anticipated Phase Two development, which will include a new cinema, restaurants and a supermarket.

“What we wanted to do this festive season for Dalton Park Outlet Centre was to create an experiential campaign that would “treat “shoppers, extending and adding to the customer journey.  The team is fully trained on all of the centres offers, promotions and key gift ideas which takes it beyond the standard customer service, and what we like to think of as customer service +” Says Kerry Fairlie, joint managing director of Independent Events.

The customer journey is a key element for any retail centre in these times of static online purchasing and the blending of experiential techniques with standard customer service creates an experience that shoppers will remember, creating a magical moment between shoppers and the centre.

In addition to this, from 4pm till 8pm every weekday, the Angels will be on hand to run an onsite promotion, where every shopper gets the chance to open the giant shopping bag and win one of a selection treats within it.

The angels will be patrolling Dalton Park looking out for shoppers to help every day up until the 23rd of the December.
