The Dalmore unveiled the third edition of its Luminary Series

Highland Single Malt, The Dalmore, has unveiled the third edition of its acclaimed Luminary Series –
an collaboration with longstanding partner V&A Dundee, Scotland’s design museum.
Since 2022, the series has brought together globally recognised creative talents, each edition is auctioned to raise funds for V&A Dundee. To date, the partnership has seen The Dalmore donate more than £250,000 to the museum.
The Dalmore partnered with Ben Dobbin, Senior Partner at the internationally renowned architect and design studio and Foster + Partners for Luminary No.3. Dobbin collaborated with Richard Paterson OBE and Gregg Glass to create a new Luminary edition. The release includes two Single Malts, the Dalmore Luminary 2025 Edition – The Rare, aged 52 years, is presented in a glass decanter within an asymmetric bronze sculpture. The Dalmore Luminary No.3 – 2025 Edition – aged 17 years is elegantly housed in a fold-out presentation case. It is strictly limited to just 20,000 bottles.
The 2025 Edition of The Dalmore Luminary Series debuted on the eve of the Venice Biennale, where The Dalmore is a supporting partner of the British Council and the British Pavilion. The launch was held in the Torre D’Arsenale.
Guests were first welcomed with a signature cocktail – The Campanile Di San Marco – specially created by partner Four Seasons and their impressive team.
A panel discussion was hosted and moderated by former Biennale curator, Professor Lesley Lokko OBE. Featuring Luminary No.3 Ben Dobbin, alongside previous luminary collaborators Melodie Leung and Maurizio Mucciola, each explored the concepts of craftmanship in design.
Following the discussion, the guests gathered for the world-first tasting of The Dalmore Luminary No.3 – 2025 Edition. Guests then explored an exhibition co-curated between V&A Dundee and Foster + Partners, centred around The Luminary Series and Dobbin’s process, before the reveal of ‘The Rare’ sculpture.
London
London’s Gherkin building set the stage for the UK launch where cocktails, live music, immersive digital art and a crowd of creative influencers came together to celebrate The Dalmore’s latest Luminary collaboration.
New York
The Dalmore partnered with Cultured magazine to support The Cult 100 Awards – a celebration of cultural trailblazers held at New York’s Guggenheim Museum. As the city’s leading luminaries, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Walton Goggins and Bella Freud, gathered for the occasion, guests were served a curated selection of cocktails.
Hong Kong
As ‘The Rare’ decanter and sculpture arrived at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, the auction house hosted exclusive tastings for collectors and connoisseurs worldwide. The piece was also exhibited at Sotheby’s Hong Kong gallery.
Global Rollout
A strategic PR and social media campaign is driving international awareness across luxury and design platforms. Following its unveiling in Taiwan, further content and brand activations are planned across Europe through the end of the year, as The Dalmore concludes its 2025 Luminary campaign.
