Agencies McCurrach (FM) and MKTG (BX) led the way as Christopher Biggins announced the 12th FMBE Awards winners at Troxy tonight.
McCurrach added a first ever agency of the years to wins on the night for their instore work with Kerry Cheestrings, which was elevated to Platinum as this most admired entry by FMBE’s client judges. They also took gold in the Professional Agency Award and bronze in the product launch category for Microsoft Windows 10.
MKTG took agency of the year success for their first time, as well as gold for their work with London and Partners in the small scale/local category and with Nakd for the most effective display (small scale). The saw several silver and bronze awards too celebrating a body of work that was seen as considerable and versatile by FMBE judges.
Both agencies have shown significant financial and innovative advances.
Other highlight winners saw double golds for PrettyGreen and LEGO and Momentum with their famous survival billboard for Microsoft Xbox.
REL Field Marketing too the coveted Team award with the Sun and Times sales team, News UK. The agency also added 2 further golds to their bursting display cabinet, adding agency of the year silver to a series that now reads G-G-G-S-S in the category.
There were some superb overseas winners including PowerSwitch, Indonesia, Traffik, Australia and GMR Marketing, US as well as gold as a sales brand ambassador for John Senior, Field Management Ireland.
The keenly contested special award for Sports Campaign of the Decade was wrested by drp and Sainsbury’s for their Paralympic Games sponsorship in London 2012.
The new Experiential Brand Special Award was won by Kingstone Press, whose Rugby Leagues and Tough Mudder sponsorship has been activated by agency Banana Kick.
All winners on the night took away the famous glassware. They are also going to receive mini statues of themselves with their awards courtesy of FMBE Awards and My 3D Twin.
