The Royal Institution secures CGI as title partner to its Christmas Lectures

The Royal Institution (Ri) has today announced a significant three-year partnership with CGI as the title partner to the Christmas Lectures. The partnership combines the pioneering spirit of science with cutting-edge technology and innovation, and provides valuable support for the Ri in delivering the Christmas Lectures. and its wider charitable activities. The partnership was secured by sponsorship agency Reg&Co.
The Ri is an independent charity dedicated to bringing the public and scientists together to share their interest and passion for science. The Ri’s vision that science is for everyone is based on a belief that there should be equitable access to science and scientists.
The Christmas Lectures., established in 1825 by renowned scientist Michael Faraday, have become a beloved tradition, igniting curiosity and sparking scientific interest among generations of viewers. Over the years, these lectures have been a source of inspiration, engaging audiences of all ages in the wonders of science.
CGI, one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms in the world, shares the Ri’s dedication to fostering a passion for science and discovery. This partnership underscores their commitment to supporting education and promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects among young learners.
The Christmas Lectures. are an awe-inspiring celebration of science, seamlessly blending the Royal Institution’s rich tradition with CGI’s experience in delivering complex things well.
This year’s Christmas Lectures. – ‘The truth about AI’ with Professor Mike Wooldridge, promise to be a spectacular exploration of one of the most important and rapidly evolving areas of science today. The 2023 Lectures will be broadcast on BBC Four and iPlayer in late December, before being made available online for a global audience, making science accessible to viewers worldwide.
