Costa Coffee recreates a Love Actually welcome with Martine McCutcheon

Martine McCutcheon has teamed up with Costa Coffee to recreate the heartwarming airport scene from Love Actually, celebrating those first special moments when loved ones reunite. A Welcome Home event was created for Costa Coffee by agency 72Point PLAY.
The Love Actually star joined a special welcome committee at Stansted Airport on 4th December, greeting travellers returning home for the holidays with a warm festive drink. Martine was joined by a gospel choir, whose uplifting performance in the Arrivals Hall added to the joy as friends and family reunited.
During the Christmas season, reconnecting with loved ones becomes ever more meaningful. Research of 5,000 adults commissioned by Costa Coffee found that nearly half (47%) say spending time with family and friends lifts their spirits, while 86% agree that Christmas is the perfect chance for Christmas catch-ups.
For many, Christmas rituals include watching a festive movie (40%), enjoying a crisp winter walk (39%), or sharing a comforting coffee (27%). Nearly half (49%) travel to see loved ones, covering an average of 164 miles, making the season’s reunions even more special.
Martine McCutcheon said: “I’ve loved spreading a little holiday warmth today. Seeing the joy on people’s faces as they arrive never gets old. Whether it’s the love in their embraces, the choir filling the hall with cheer, or sharing a warm drink, this is just the beginning of the festive season!”
