As the British Olympians arrived home, Liverpool ONE had its own special carnival over the Bank Holiday weekend. A Brazilian themed parade took to the streets, moving between the streets of the scheme, the parade finished next to the recently opened Victoria Secret’s store on South John Street with a red, white and blue confetti finale.

A carnival band and Samba dancers were a key part of the event, together with freestyle footballers, hula hoopers, ribbon dancers, stilt walkers, live music and sporting activities on Chavasse Park for local families.  Chavasse Park has been transformed into a miniature Olympic village with activities including a running track, long and triple jump and cycling.

Commenting on the bank holiday activities, Miles Dunnett, of Grosvenor Europe, said: “This event is one of the largest staged events of the year at Liverpool ONE, and demonstrates our commitment to provide an engaging customer experience at every turn.  As a result of our ongoing initiatives and strong retail and dining offer, our footfall is ahead of last year by 2.5% and sales are up by 5%.”
