Rosie Holden, Karmarama’s former managing partner, will be joining Cake in early 2019 to spearhead its new leadership team alongside Executive Creative Director Shirin Majid, who joined earlier this year.
It follows the recent departure of CEO, Adrian Pettett and MD, Jim Dowling.
Holden will take over as Managing Director of the sports and entertainment agency as they develop work on new clients Gallagher and Rekorderlig next year, while building on relationships with long-standing clients; including managing EE’s Wembley, BAFTA and Glastonbury sponsorships and leading PR, social and experiential for Carling.
She joins after leading the integration of an existing PR agency into a broader social and influencer division within Karmarama, looking after the likes of Nike and Diageo. Before that, at John Doe, she led teams for Adidas Originals, Beats by Dre, and Pernod-Ricard brand, Malibu. She also worked on global clients like Reebok at M&C Saatchi’s sports & entertainment shop.
She joined John Doe back in 2011 after working client side at Adidas as the global PR manager for sports performance and football.
Havas UK Group CEO, Chris Hirst says; “Rosie has an incredible energy and the perfect blend of experience in both sports and entertainment marketing, as well as vital experience client-side in her field. We’re really excited to have her join the leadership team at Havas UK.”
“Havas is such an exciting place to be right now. There’s an incredible momentum, but there’s also a really clear sense of the opportunity that a fully integrated service can offer clients. Cake also has an incredible legacy of offering truly innovative experiences long before it became a buzz word for the industry. I just couldn’t resist being a part of it all.” says Holden.
Rosie will join Cake in January 2019 reporting into UK Group CEO, Chris Hirst.
