Grosvenor Europe has unveiled a towering mural of British singer and songwriter, George Ezra at leading retail destination, Liverpool One. The artwork was produced by the UK’s leading hand-painted advertising company, Global Street Art Agency, as the first part of a nationwide YouTube music mural campaign.
The Liverpool One hand-painted mural, stood at eight storeys tall and spanned 2,200 sq ft, one of the largest live mural sites in Europe. It was unveiled on Tuesday, November 20, following a visit by George Ezra earlier in the month and was up until Friday, December 7. The mural was painted over several nights on Liver Street. It proved to be a hit with visitors to Liverpool One and has become a leading Instagram location in the city centre.
Commenting on the launch, Cathy Meadows, commercialisation director, Liverpool One, said: “The selection of Liverpool One by YouTube to launch its innovative music mural campaign is both a reflection of Liverpool One’s position as a leading destination in the UK and the city’s status as a capital of pop.”
Liverpool One also hosted Rita Ora’s new album launch on November 23, with the singer debuting tracks from Phoenix at the HMV store on upper South John Street to a group of specially selected fans.
