Maoam folows experiential vending trend with i2i tour

As part of their 2012 nationwide sampling and experiential campaign, MAOAM, the popular soft and fruity chew brand, has launched the MAOAM Mega Vend, a giant vending machine that has been brought to life with unique technology to give consumers a totally different brand experience.

Mega Vend follows an experiential trend by vending with a difference; it’s “alive” and no money is required! Instead the machine dispenses either a mystery MAOAM gift or sweet treat to every consumer who goes mad for MAOAM and can pronounce the brand name correctly. The machine features a giant MAOAM mouth on a 70” screen, which acts as a virtual puppet, with behind-the-scences presenters using the latest bespoke technology to talk to and engage real time with passers-by.

The Mega Vend puppet is fully animated and can change its expressions and environment, as well as playing music to suit its mood. Adding a quirky twist, it also serves up a few booby prizes across each day, for those who need to try a little bit harder when it comes to ‘Going Mad for MAOAM’.

The 20 week campaign launched in Bristol at the end of July and will tour the length and breadth of the country visiting major cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London. The Mega Vend tour will see hundreds of prizes given away by the machine each week including branded goody bags, headphones, wristbands and t-shirts.

More than one million MAOAM Stripes and Pinballs will also be sampled during the tour.

The Mega Vend campaign and Mega Vend Puppet have been devised and delivered by i2i Marketing. Mega Vend follows the success of the MAOAM Mixer and Megatown campaigns, which were also delivered by the i2i team.
