Stratford Tower ready to be wrapped as world’s largest advertising site

Planning permission has just been agreed for Europe’s tallest 43 story residential tower block, located at the entrance of the 2012 games, to be fully wrapped in advertising. This move gives the Stratford Tower’s 122,988 square feet the potential to be entirely wrapped in vinyl, making it one of the world’s largest advertising sites ever recorded.

The Stratford Tower dominates the East London skyline at a staggering 132 metres tall and is situated just 200 metres from the Olympic Park. The position of the gigantic structure means the advertising wrap will be visible from all around the surrounding East London area and beyond. Visitors to the Olympic site or neighbouring Westfield shopping centre in Stratford will be able to see the tower whether arriving on foot, via London Transport links or by National Rail. The site itself is also in the main TV zone, which based on the Beijing Olympics could be viewed by up to 4.7 billion people – equating to 55 million people per day.

Out-of-home advertising specialists, Limited Space, are managing the advertising booking for the Stratford Tower.
