Vauxhall delivers a record year with TRO

TRO has announced that the Vauxhall account team achieved a record year for the automotive brand in 2016, with a total of 862 dealer support events delivered in 261 working days. The figure equates to an average of three activations delivered for the brand each day, with the team completing a dealer event booking every two hours.

A total of 219 Vauxhall retailers in the dealer network implemented the event support service last year, which TRO has handled for the General Motors-owned car manufacturer for the past 14 years. The agency delivered activations at a wide variety of key locations including supermarkets, county shows, shopping centres and garden centres – giving Vauxhall retailers the opportunity to reach consumers who may not otherwise visit a dealership.

A number of the retailer events were activated in tandem with Vauxhall’s charity partner, Help for Heroes, which Vauxhall has supported since 2010.

Scott Wilcox, shows and merchandise manager, Vauxhall Motors commented “We recognise the value that Retailer events bring to the Vauxhall brand and we’re thrilled with the fantastic results that have been achieved – testament to TRO’s drive, energy and dedication.”

Louise Smith, account director, TRO said “We’re delighted that the uptake by Vauxhall Retailer Network was so positive in 2016 and we’re looking forward to another successful forthcoming year. The Event Support team is invigorated ahead of what promises to be another busy year – we are bolstering the Event Support kit with football themed activities to capitilise on Vauxhall’s sponsorship of the Home Nation’s, particularly the Women’s UEFA Euro Tournament.”
