Shaftesbury celebrated the success of the Seven Dials’ Christmas event with a festive light switching on event on November 16.

Brand-new light installations, live music, festive food and promotions across 8o retailers, bars, cafes and restaurants, allowed visitors to explore the seven interconnecting streets of Seven Dials and celebrate the switch on moment around the iconic dial monument. Festive activities and treats including wreath making, eco-friendly glitter face painting, and a festive pop-up bar and curling rink, were available in a traffic-free environment and all in London’s West End.

Commenting on the shopping event, Karen Baines, head of group marketing and communications at Shaftesbury, said: “This year’s Christmas event perfectly portrays the community spirit our unique retailers create in Seven Dials. Located in the heart of the West End, the new light installation ensures the destination shines throughout the festive period and maintains its special village atmosphere it is known for. The award-winning restaurants, exclusive offers and boutique retailers were as popular as ever for all our visitors, marking Seven Dials as an unmissable Christmas shopping and dining destination.”
