Anchor Cheddar sets out to connect with shoppers

After the successful launch of Anchor Cheddar in Tesco, whynot! is helping drive further sales with experiential sampling in a selection of the retailer’s car parks.

Kicking off on Monday 8th July, the four week campaign aims to create an emotional connection between shoppers and Anchor Cheddar through positioning the product as an everyday food that simply can’t be resisted. The area includes an Anchor Cheddar branded food truck and gazebo with homely kitchen interior, where brand ambassadors will sample cheese toasties made with Anchor Mature and Extra Mature Cheddar to hungry shoppers.

To encourage repeat purchase, shoppers will be given money off vouchers entitling them to £2.50 off either variant on the day and for a selected time after the campaign. They’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win a kitchen makeover worth £10,000.

The activity takes place in the South and East, and will be repeated again in September in the Midlands, North and West.
