Lidl brought their giant Bag for Life to Manchester’s Food and Drink Festival from September 28th to October 2nd. Their Giant Bag for Life commanded the attention of passers-by and helped them drive consumers into their French Wine Tour tasting event. The appearance in Manchester is the first of a number of locations for the Lidl Giant Bag for Life.
Created by the experiential team within CSM Live, the aim is for the Giant Bag for Life to enable Lidl to engage with customers and audiences across Northern cities whilst promoting their ‘Big on Quality, Lidl on Price’ message in real life. Lidl were keen to stand out in areas of high footfall and create memorable experiences for their customers and also encourage people to visit their stores. While the bespoke Giant Bag for Life remains the same, the offering in the supporting marquee will change as the activation tours around the country.
The Wine Tour event in Manchester sees Lidl’s highly experienced sommelier, Richard Bampfield, offering advice and insight into a carefully selected range of Lidl’s French wines as consumers get to taste them for free. There are also a number of Deluxe food items on offer to complement the wines.
The Lidl Giant Bag for Life will next be making an appearance at the Liverpool’s Dream Giant Spectacular event, between 5th-7th October. It will then feature in Wales and Scotland in November.
