FMBE Awards Open to Entry

The 2020 FMBE Awards are now open for entry, with essential differences that reflect the COVID-19 hiatus.

The essential differences are as follows.

  1. Core categories A-S are open. If your work was completed before March 2020 you have until July 14th to enter it. If your work is delayed/postponed or ongoing through the crisis then a late entry date will emerge and be circulated. This late entry date has not been announced yet.
  2. Categories T, U and V – Operations team, Professional Agency Management and the Special Award will be announced after some lockdown restrictions have been relaxed. This is so that these categories can allow new skillsets that have been learnt and used during the COVID-19 lockdown to be specifically recognised in the entry criteria.
  3. The 2020 Awards Ceremony date, theme and location is currently being kept flexible. Taking its lead from Government guidelines and rules, FMBE hopes to bring the industry together for a much needed get together before the year is out. The event will certainly provide a chance to thank key workers and volunteers.

Frank Wainwright, FMBE Awards Director comments: “There are a few necessary uncertainties in the current climate, but one thing I do know for sure is that a show of strength is high on our agenda. Before COVID-19 we saw some remarkable events and activations. During COVID-19 we have already seen some amazing adaptations and critical responses. After COVID-19 lockdown I know we will see some astonishing creative solutions to socially distanced event hosting and shopper engagement. FMBE’s task is to embrace this collective work and the excellence, adaptability and resilience that underpins it”
