KineticX, the start-up incubator focused on emerging location technologies in the Out of Home (OOH) space and a division of Kinetic, has announced a strategic partnership with Strawberry Energy, a company at the forefront of the smart cities revolution, developing solar powered, urban furniture for sustainable cities of the future.
The partnership will provide brands with the opportunity to target and engage with audiences through Strawberry Energy’s network of smart benches in high footfall locations. The award-winning smart benches feature the latest innovations in smart urban furniture, including free phone charging, free Wi-Fi and cutting-edge air quality information. The benches offer multiple audience touch points for brands, from the branding surface to the branded Wi-Fi login page.

Strawberry Energy’s smart benches can currently be found in 30 cities across 17 countries. The company recently unveiled 10 new smart benches in Southwark, South London, in addition to 10 already rolled out during the last year. Two smart benches are also being trialled in Islington, with 25 planned and Lewisham has installed 10 of 25 planned.
KineticX works solely with early to mid-stage start-ups whose products and services compliment the rapidly developing OOH environment, with a focus on digital screen technology, Deep Learning and AI, hyper-local technology, projections and holograms, and the Internet of Things.
