Liverpool’s redwigwam creating 250 jobs for young people across the UK

redwigwam is creating over 250 new jobs for young people across the country as part of the Government’s Kickstart scheme.

The entry-level jobs provide successful candidates with the chance to gain valuable work experience during a six-month placement.

Anyone aged 16-24 and on Universal Credit can apply for the paid roles in the £2 billion programme which guarantees workers 25 hours per week. Some of the roles require candidates to go into the workplace, while other roles are fully remote and will be working from home.

The job opportunities, available across the country, include brand ambassadors, administrators, customer service, digital marketing executives, graphic designers, receptionists, social media executives and field sales executives.

There are also job roles for e-commerce product assistants, JavaScript developers, nutritionists, supply chain assistants and even a pastry chef.

Lorna Davidson, founder and CEO of Liverpool-based redwigwam, said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the Government to create 6-month-long job placements for people aged 16-24 on Universal Credit.

“These entry-level roles are specially designed for those who are struggling to find employment and want the chance to learn from scratch. It will give hundreds of young people the chance to learn new skills which they can take forward as they start their career.

“All are welcome to apply, no matter what their level of education or work experience, and they will all get paid for the duration of their placement.”

The Kickstart Scheme aims to create 350,000 job placements. Businesses have the flexibility to be able to top up a worker’s pay and increase the number of hours to 40.

All placements must be a new job and offer full training and development. All candidates are verified by the Department for Work and Pensions.
