Pod and Laura Trott offer Londoners a 7 day programme

Double Olympic gold medallist Laura Trott and London-based healthy eating specialists pod have created a nutritious eating plan aimed at the capital’s daily commuters as well as an advanced plan for competing cyclists.

Trott, who recently agreed a three-year ambassadorial role with the 22-strong chain, worked with pod to produce two unique weekly plans to invigorate, energise and provide the perfect food for London’s legion of cycling enthusiasts.

The plan for daily commuters is targeted at those taking moderate exercise such as the thousands of people who cycle to and from work, averaging between 20 to 30 minutes. Aimed at prioritising balanced and sustained energy, the high protein and iron-rich foods will help avoid fatigue by including slow-release carbohydrates that sustain energy throughout the day.

The more moderate seven-day programme includes recommended eating over the weekend with meals made up of lean foods to help fuel exercise.

The breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner daily plan will be promoted in the 22 stores across London and include many of pod’s signature breakfasts and lunches.

With ‘Laura’s top picks’ sprinkled throughout the plan along with her recommendations, cyclists in particular are expected to lap up the opportunity to eat like an Olympic champion.

The Laura Trott Seven Day Plan means there is no hassle and the foods eaten at home are tasty, convenient and very easy to make.

pod was founded in 2005 with the vision of helping people to enjoy healthier lives. It became pod’s mission to serve freshly made, delicious, nutritious breakfast and lunch to Londoners on the run.
