What do you love most about your role at Elevate?
Over the years I’ve spent with the agency the opportunity to grow has been undeniable and I still get to learn something new every day. Opening offices in new markets was a huge learning and being able to do that with a company like Elevate has been immensely rewarding. I’m excited to see the next few years unfold and watch as we make our next phase of plans a reality. The culture at Elevate has always been something I’m proud of and we continue to work at it every day. Clients, staff, partners and suppliers alike should all love working for Elevate and having a culture that drives that loyalty and engagement is hugely important to the business.
What do you love most about the industry?
The power of human interaction is so powerful and something I truly believe in, so being able to work in an industry that drives that engagement need is certainly something I love. Watching times of true engagement that result in long lasting and impactful moments for our clients and their consumers is pretty powerful – you just don’t see that with social media or digital marketing.
What has been the highlight over the last 12 months?
It has to be winning the Platinum Award at the 2018 FMBE’s! There was a huge amount of competition in the room and to win the platinum against all other submissions from the whole awards was a very proud moment.
What is on the horizon at Elevate?
2018 has seen another wave of growth for the agency and as we continue to develop a physical presence in new markets to support our global delivery, I’m expecting another wave. We’re also spending a considerable amount of time looking at everything we do as an agency and driving innovation to help our clients achieve their goals in an ever-evolving industry. Looking at why we do everything and challenging the status quo is a priority 2019 agenda item!
Who would be your dream client?
Honestly, I don’t have one dream client – I’m driven by the ability to make real change for our clients. Witnessing and delivering true partnership with our clients is what motivates me. Over the years, I’ve been extremely lucky to work with a huge range of clients which has allowed me to experience so many different lessons. I have various clients that I have worked with over the years, that I look back on and realise that some of that ‘dream client’s that I never knew I wanted. That might sound cheesy, but it’s the truth.
What quote do you swear by?
There’s quite a few but there is one I read recently that stands out at the moment: “If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat! Just get on.”–Sheryl Sandberg. I’ve been told that sometimes I can be impulsive, but I’m also a huge believer in not hesitating if your gut tells you this is the right thing to do. You can work the detail out later. If you want to make something happen, get up and do it. Don’t sit there and think what if.
Who inspires you?
My team. Every single day. Watching them work through their challenges and celebrate their successes is hugely inspirational to me. At Elevate, we build our teams with individuals who are tenacious, positively relentless and who take pride in their work. Watching my teams build, create, innovate, solve and achieve is something I don’t take for granted and I can’t wait to continue in the journey with them all.
